Scholarships are granted based upon need and impact, with recipient organisations receiving vouchers for 12 months’ full course access, valued at $499 per person.

The Responsible use of AI Licence (RAIL) Certification
Accessible and easy-to-follow industry-recognised training in AI fundamentals for the workplace, including key concepts, skills, ethics, and data security. Learners complete 4 core + 2 elective modules to achieve RAIL certification. Learning is self-paced via short videos (8-15 min/topic) and supporting text.

Who is eligible for the RAIL Scholarship program?
The program is designed for registered charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises, community groups, and other mission-driven organisations that serve communities in need. It is not currently available to individuals.

What is included in a RAIL Scholarship?
Each scholarship provides access to the RAIL certification for community members, clients, or program participants. This includes 4 core modules (AI Fundamentals, Workplace Applications, Ethics & Security, Prompt Engineering) plus specialist electives.
Each person receives 12 months of access with regular content updates and a blockchain-verified certificate upon completion.
How long does the application process take?
Applications are typically reviewed within 5 business days, although this may take longer during busy periods. We endeavour to reply to all applicants regardless of whether they are successful. Your patience is appreciated.
How are RAIL Scholarships accessed?
Successful organisations will receive formal notification and bulk scholarship codes via email to distribute to their team and/or community members. Codes must be activated within 30 days of receipt.
RAIL Initiative can also provide marketing material for use when communicating with your community.
Can we promote our scholarship participation?
Yes. We encourage scholarship recipients to share their participation and invite individual recipients to apply for scholarship codes. RAIL will provide promotional materials to help you communicate the value of AI training to your stakeholders and community.
RAIL may also feature your program participation in our own promotional material.
